MIRROR OF DECEPTION (GERMANY)

The Doom Metal Band Mirror of Deception in Göppingen (near Stuttgart) was founded in 1990 by the two guitarists Michael S. and Jochen F. After prolonged Mitmusikersuche early 1992, the first line-up was complete. The self-titled, first demo was released in 1993 and a year later the second demo "Words Unspoken". After line-up changes on bass and drums and another demo, there was a collaboration with the then newly formed southern Sub Zero Label Records, 1997, the mini-CD "Veil of Lead" was published. The recording for the debut album began in December 1997, however, were only completed in August 1999. In the meantime, had withdrawn from the Sub Zero label business and found in the English label The Miskatonic Foundation for a new home. There appeared early 2001, the huge delay, but from press and listeners alike very well recorded debut album "Mirrorsoil. Following tours of Germany and England followed with the likes of Solstice, Warning and End of Green.
